The WordPerfect™ PC XTension enables users to import documents created in WordPerfect DOS and PC versions 4.2, 5.1 and 6.0 directly into a QuarkXPress document, without using additional conversion software.
The XTension also enables style tags in the WordPerfect document to be converted directly to the appropriate XPress style information during import. If a Macintosh is equipped with an FDHD floppy disk drive, and has a PC file recognition utility installed (i.e. DOS-Mounter™), the WordPerfect files can imported directly. Alternatively, if the WordPerfect files are stored on an AFP server visible to both Macs and PCs (i.e. a Novell server), direct import can take place without additional software.
